Just watched SG-1's Seprent's Lair.

Why didn't Daniel's eyes "heal" after going in that thing?

And something came to me, since the destruction of the Hataks were set off by a bunch of C-4, I would think the stargate that was on Klorel's ship could survive it, and ended up entering the Earth's atmosphere and crashed somewhere. Talk about a missed opporunity.

A group of scientists studing butterflies in the Amazon rainforest comes across a stargate covered with vines and ferns.

Daniel still wore his glasses afterward, but he wore them less and less as the years went by. (There was another comment to this effect in the episode "Need.") Maybe the sarcophagus was able to partially correct his vision.

I've always thought the same thing about Klorel's gate, except that I figured the ships were in high orbit and the gate is simply still up there. Anyone know how high the ha'taks were orbiting?

David CGC or someone once suggested that might have been one of the gates they used to build the intergalactic gate bridge.

I don't think that was me. Now that you mention it, though, I do think I once said that it should've survived the explosion, and probably crashed on the moon or something, and wondered if some poor SG team might've had a "Solitudes"-style accident or misdialed a symbol and ended up coming through it instead of the Earth gate and sucking vacuum.

Feels like that thread would've been forever ago. Probably before the gate bridge even existed.

To be fair, the Daniel's eyes not-healing issue would first be raised in the movie, since that's the first time he goes through a sarcophagus.

^That's right. I forgot about that.

Anyway, this begs for a fanfic. But I've been so focused with work plus I've been keeping my trek fanfic on hold for a couple of weeks or so.
