Spoilers Senior Officer Replicators

In the 23rd century if you get a big house, you gave to clean it yourself.

In the 24th century, you can have a holo butler with a full staff.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Synth Ban included holo-deck characters. A lot of fans seem to just dismiss the fact Rios might be breaking what he considers a stupid law.

But Star Trek has long been iffy on automation.

Also, in real life, plenty of rich people live in suites. Very nice places but not huge ones.

do love this expression, use it myself occasionally.

translates to no canon evidense.
Except that there IS canonical evidence, just not a direct statement. But we've seen many technologies that are available to civilians, in canon, and if one draws logical and very reasonable conclusions about what those technologies can do by themselves and in combination, there ya go.

Federation people are weird. If I was a citizen there, I'd never trust a restaurant's food. I mean....they use their hands.

Ewww.

I don't see what is unusual about this. Lower rank: The replication operates like an elementary school cafeteria with 1-4 (all healthy) options for each meal. Higher rank, you are assumed to have a certain level of disipline and can choose from the menu and even download/add new items (like a large college cafeteria or seamless for office workers).
