Secret Nimoy cameo in ST IV?

Mr. Laser Beam

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
I mean, obviously Leonard plays Spock throughout the whole film. But IMDB - and yes, I'm aware of how unreliable that site is, which is why I'm asking here  - says that he also played a non-Spock background role, part of the crowd scene in Mercy Hospital where they go to treat Chekov. Can anyone confirm?

Also, is it true that the WUB-WUB-WUB sound made by the probes is also Nimoy?

It's hard to say about the probe noise. If you read all the trivia on the Trivia page for hte film on IMDb, you see two compeltely different explinations for how the sound is created. Obviously one of these is fake and added by some idiot who thought their opinion or opinion from some dude online, was correct. That's a problem I encounter from time-to-time on IMDb and have to correct.

I wonder if that was a cameo, or if it was like that scene in ST: TMP were one of the production staff can be seen breifly in his cloths.

Well, he's not out of place. It's not like a man in a black tuxedo being seen on Taurus II. He's wearing 1986 Earth clothes in a 1986 Earth hospital.

I'm saying, maybe he was directing, watching things, thought he was out of frame, not standing in purposefully as a background cameo.
