Second Doctor's regeneration - The 2014 Deluxe Edition

Emperor-Tiberius

I just bumped into this vid, which looks a lot like the one I saw a while ago (that again edited from the fan-film Devious and showed a similar Troughton-Pertwee regeneration), but apparently was uploaded, like, today. Talk about co-incidence.

I like it, although the Second Doctor obviously bears no real similarity to Troughton, aside from the overall posture.

Just thinking about revising my own version as it happens, but that won't contain any Devious. Of course its the last one to tackle now 8/9's official, so there will probably be lots of versions!

That's not supposed to be the Second Doctor. He's a temporary interim Doctor - a Doctor 2.5, if you will - played by Tony Garner.

Not as per the re-editor's intent. Otherwise he wouldn't have the Troughton morph in there.

It just makes it confusing - why does that strange dude we've never seen before, regenerate into PT and then in JP?

He clearly wants to imply that the Second Doctor is about to get ready for his exile. And the Time Lords then remove his memories of his service for the CIA.
