This photo, taken shortly before the guitar hero's death in September 1970, shows Noel Redding, left, Leonard Nimoy, center, and Jimi Hendrix, second from right. Nimoy was at a dinner in Cleveland to promote his album entitled ‘The New World Of Leonard Nimoy,’ when he was told Hendrix was in the next room and would like to meet him. Without hesitation, the actor asked for Hendrix to be brought in, and the rest is history.
