Script for Predators (and possibly Alien Prequel)

The Predators Script has proven to be real, the Alien one has not, but certainly gels with the writing style of two other scripts I've read by the same guy.

Predators shooting script is temporarily unavailable though. Damn. Really wanted to read that one. I am looking forward to reading the first draft though. I'm a huge fan of Robert Rodriguez.

Yeah, I've already seen this script (the recent draft of Predators). Not too impressed by it, really. I think both versions of the ending suck, but at least the alternate one isn't as WTF inducing as the regular one.

They were going to make another JP, the script was leaked and was so bashed but the internet so badly it was going to be completely rewritten. Then nothing happened for awhile and everyone started dieing and it was scrapped completely late last year.

Joe Johnston on ocassion brings up JP4, but that's all the update they've had-and as mentioned, both Michael Crichton and Stan Winston (who did the animatronic dinosaurs) died recently.


Apart from having the Dinosaurs run amok on the mainland, which I don't think could really carry a whole film, there's really not much more that can be done with the franchise IMO.

Jurassic Park is a pretty limited concept. People go to an island. Dinosaurs are on the island. People-especially Jeff Goldblum-go "Ooh" and "Aah" over the dinosaurs. The dinosaurs escape and eat some of the people. The people escape. That's it. All three movies really.

If they brought the dinosaurs to the mainland it wouldn't be Jurassic Park. It would be Godzilla. Why bother? Americans can't make good Godzilla movies. That's a fact. We tried. We failed. Yeah technically Roland Emmerich isn't American but Dean Devlin is and that's enough proof for me that we shouldn't touch Godzilla. Not even if we call it Jurassic Park IV.

BTW when JP3 came out I tried to come up with my own original idea for a sequel within the confines of the original concept. I gave it up. The best I could come up with was as follows.

Biosyn has opened their own dinosaur cloning facility on an industrial island right off the mainland. Where? I dunno. Shut the fuck up. Eco-terrorist Nick Van Owen (from JP2) and a group of bleeding hearts go to shut the facility down. When they get there nearly all the workers and scientists are dead. The sole survivor is a hot scientist chick. From her they find out that a group of mutant crossbreeds have hatched and taken over the island. So Van Owen has to blow up the island and make his escape even as the mutant freaks try eat his eco-terrorist buddies one by one by one.

That's it. That's the best I could come up with. So I gave it up. I'm pretty embarrassed for even mentioning it. I think it's still better than the rumored TMNT-style JP movie I've hear rumored. It's also a little less desperate than something like Jurassic Park Goes to Space.

It's still pretty bad though.
