Scotty's remarks about Sulu

Chalk up another in favor of Scotty complimenting his fellow crewmen. At no point did I feel confused as to how this line was intended.

However, if somebody took it otherwise, I wouldn't use it as an opportunity to unload on him or her. I'm used to people acting like jerks on my carpentry sites (where raging testosterone is par for the course), but aren't we supposed to be wasting our time here in the name of celebrating something we all share an unnatural love for? Thicker skin? Gimme a break - y'all need to lighten the hell up!

Okay, although I'm feeling semi ganged up on here, I would have thought that my little Spock quote there would indicate a touch of humor. I'm not offended. I don't have thin skin, I don't attach any particular importance to this message board or the comments on it. Whatever. It's all good.

scotty would have been aware of the tidal forces around saturn which makes what sulu did an amazing piece of flying.

i liked how the film handled the characters.
they were allowed comedic moments that made them seem more human but also
had moments were they allowed to shine which demonstrated over all how brillant and special they could be.
