Scifi scripts?

Hi
do you know about a site with scifi scripts that you could enter a search word & the site will search it INSIDE all the scripts? :)

Not off the top of my head. But you could go to Wikipedia, put in, say, "List of sci-fi films", look at the results, then go to Drew's Script-o-rama, and look up the names.

Are you looking for a specific character, scene etc, or just SF films in general? And what is the search word you'd use?

i found "The Daily Script" in Drew's Script-o-rama...
its nice but i can't choose only scifi films.

why i need this?
well, its a bit personal :) but in general - i want to cross reference certain words ;)
so, if you guys know about such site it will be nice!

anyway, doing it film by film is not humane:p

Yeah, but I did say get a list of SF films from Wikipedia first. You can probably even do it by country if you want.

And what are you search words? Unless it's something like "poodle" and "rolling pin", it shouldn't be too embarrassing. Should it? I've said too much.

Hell, just try going to google and putting in "script science fiction SF <seachword> <seachword>" Sometimes it works.

There's scifiscripts.com if you want a site that specifically lists sci-fi screenplays, but you're still going to have to search screenplay by screenplay. There's no way around it.

thanks
well, thats progress :)
there is a search option there.
but
1. i think that it search only the html scripts (& some are pdf)
2. there are a lot more scifi films in the world :)
but that is definitely progress !

I really don't think you'll find what you're looking for. If I understand you correctly...you're looking for a script site that has a search function to detect specific words within a screenplay correct? If that's the case, I don't think that exists. As Australis suggested, you'd be better off using google and using it to search for quotes or dialogue from said screenplay.

how could you say that, when we already saw in this thread that its exist?
i only need a site with a bigger database...

No, people in the thread have suggested regular script sites that host screenplays, not script sites that have the function you want. Trust me. I've browsed a lot of screenplay sites, I've never seen one with the specific function you are looking for.

but in http://scifiscripts.com/scripts_n_z.html there is an option to search for words inside all the scripts in their database
the problem is that their DB is too small.

Whatever the case, I wish you luck in your search. It'll be interesting to see if you find what you're looking for or not.

What. Are. You. Looking. FOR?

We're all pretty smart. We watch a lot of SF. We may know what you're looking for. Give us some clues.

We like being useful. :)
