scifi JOB FAIR

When I was growing up, and I guess even today, I always wanted a particular job in the making of a movie. No, not a stuntman, though in away I guess it is. But I always wanted to be the guy...ta-da..in the GODZILLA suit. I know from reading about them that they were heavy and very stuffy inside...but I didn't care...

I wanted to be in that suit, rise out of the ocean...stomp on some tanks, maybe kick some Megalon or Gigan butt..and, when it seemed I might have some problems, I'd inhale a deep breath, my back ridges would glow, and WOOOOSHHHHH!!!!...I'd fire my fire breath and blow up a skyscraper or shoot down an alien UFO (which was in the guise of a fireball).....

Yeah...ain't gonna happen. There was probably some pecking order. I'd probably have to start out as Anglius and then work my way up to Rodan, maybe Hedora, and then....if the dude was sick...sub for who ever played Godzilla. Even for one of the lesser Godzilla movies, it wouldn't matter to me....

Was there a job in production that you wanted to do? Heck, I know that some of you have said you work in CGI or something like that. Model building would have been fun too....

Screen writer. To regulate the lame garbage that gets on the air despite the fans' wishes. That's the job I want-part watchdog, part regulator.

Maybe showrunner instead. The writers should come up with the loony, creative, undisciplined ideas. But what I often see lacking is someone overseeing the insanity and pounding it into some kind of coherent and consistent shape. That's where the watchdogs and regulators are needed.

I could do this. I'd LOVE to do this!
