SciFi / Fantasy Art

So I just hung a new piece of art that I picked up, almost completely on impulse, the other day. I can now happily just sit on my stairs (it's hung on a huge tall wall I have overlooking my stairway) and just be whisked back to being 7 years old, running, "piewww, piewww, piewww"-ing every Rebel I saw, wishing I was part of a galaxy far, far away.

It's called "Super Troopers and I think it's just beautiful.

There is no doubt that a part of this Thread is utterly self serving given I want to share a new piece of art that I have purchased. But on hanging it on the wall, and basking in the sheer nostalgia of it all (I AM one of those kids), I was wondering if anyone else owned any art (whatever format) from the SF/F genre. I have a few comic-art prints in my "boys" room, but this is the first piece I have purchased which others would classify as "non traditional".

I am fully on board with the notion that comic book art/Film 1-sheets etc can be as beautiful, detailed and thoughtful as any other piece of typical "real" piece of art, but what I was looking for were pieces that you had owned, or created even, that channels the sheer wonder and awe that SF/F can inspire in a person, like the piece I bought now does to me every time I walk down my hallway stairs.

Anyone?

Hugo - sorry for the skew-whiffness of the photo - for the life of me I can't take straight pictures on my phone!
