scientists have discovered the fourth dimension.

I dont possess the knowledge to even partially understand Spatial dimensions,
string theory and The quantum Hall effect
But i found the explanation for the 4D dimension "In layman’s language" to be intriguing.:

"3D objects cast shadows in 2D, therefore, a 4D object should cast a shadow in 3D.
Although 4D is not accessible at the moment, but scientists can trace its shadow in 3D to prove its existence and recent experiments were based on the same theory."

Here are some links about this new discovery:

How are we going to take advantage of the higher-dimensional physics in lower dimensions? i dont know...

Anyone here got any theories/ideas
about how we can use this new knowledge in future designs?
( @Asbo Zaprudder )?
"crazy" ideas from the trek-community are very welcome =)

One cab untie any 3D knot in 4D, including the Gordian knot, without any cutting. 4D objects have some bizarre properties but I don't know whether it would be possible to make a large object such as a human effectively 4D and allow time travel. You might end up turning them inside out.

Yes the property of time in a 4D object is truly puzzling...
I need to dive into the basics surrounding this before attempt to say anything.
Only thing i can say is that greater minds can (and will) now come up with "unthinkable" new theories based upon this discovery, a new stepping stone towards greater understanding of the univers (dark matter etc) perhaps.

Thanks for the Gordian knot, never heard of it before. :bolian:
