Sci Fi Channel mag just enforces how GREAT SCI FI UNIVERSE was.

Those first 15 or 20 issues with Mark Altman and Chris Gore were ABSOLUTLY the best SCI FI coverage long before the Internet. If you have never read them I can't recommend them more. Issue one was a classic with the PLANET OF THE APES article and so many other classic issues the infamous DEEP & CONFUSED issue that alienated Trek producers...the fan favorite issue 50 REASONS WHY WE HATE RETURN OF THE JEDI....

After Altman left it fell apart until its cancellation.

I get SCI FI CHANNEL mag and I can't believe how BORING it is...its just the same slick press kit that STARLOG magazine became around its 100th issue.

SciFi Universe was a great magazine. I think I still have all of them. That "50 Reasons Why We Hate Return of the Jedi" was a classic. I wonder how the magazine would have covered the PT. It would have been glorious.

True, but it is the Sci-Fi Channel Magazine, I don't know that one expects more than that. I've picked it up on an occasion or two just because it had some really nice glossy pictures I dug but I never really expected a deep magazine, at least not with where Sci-Fi Channel is these days.
