I will check it out because of the writer and the director. Arnold does not excite me.

Arnold's been struggling since his return. The Last Stand tanked even though it was actually a good movie. Maybe the ensemble nature of this movie will fare better.

Judging from the plot description given on Wikipedia, this is a somewhat unusual Schwarzenegger movie since he seems to be the leader of a gang of corrupt cops. So he's playing - at best - a morally ambigious character. Arnold goes Vic Mackey?

But it fits with the director who to this day was almost exclusively involved with gritty crime dramas portraying less-than-perfect law enforcement officers.

I was delighted by his performance in Escape Plan. While Stallone was phoning it in, he had a lot of fun with his role. You could really see that between Expendables, TLS and EP, his acting got better and less rough around the edges.

Now Sabotage with excellent writer and director, this could be really good. I'm also looking forward to Maggie, which seems to be more of a drama.

It really looks like he is attempting to get out of the genre he created. More ensemble, more drama, atypical characters. It will be fun to see what comes next.

If he wins an Oscar in the next two decades, I'm going to donate all my money to charity.

At lease his hair looks a little more realistic with some grey in it now. That fluorescent brown dye job he had before was just awful.

Looks pretty good. I'm a fan of Ayer's work as a writer and director, this has a great ensemble cast, it's sort of a new direction for Arnold, the premise sounds compelling, and the action looks great. I'm in.

Honestly I don't think Arnie has made a movie I didn't enjoy since before Conan, so I will of course check this out.

I don't see him ever headlining a hit movie that isn't a sequel to one of his old movies or an Expendables movie again though.
