Scenes in movies that bring a tear to your eye.

So I was watching “Good Will Hunting” for like the 200th time and there is a part in it that chokes me up every single time.
The part where Sean (Robin Williams) tells Will (Matt Damon ) “It’s not your fault” several times then Will breaks down. Man it gets me every time.

There are three others that no matter how many times I see them get me every single time.

In BraveHeart at the very end when Wallace is being tortured and instead of begging for mercy he yells “FREEDOM!!!!”

And Just as Spock dies in ST:WOK Kirk says “No.” and Kirks lines at Spock’s funeral.
Even thought I know Spock eventually comes back to life, it still gets me.

So any you wanna share?

Those are both tearjerkers. That scene at the end of Field of Dreams is notorious for being one. I always get a little choked up during that scene in Spider-Man 2 when Peter stops the train and passes out, then the passengers hand him overhead back into the train. Come to think of it, Prince of Egypt always gets me too, during the 'Deliver Us' song and scene. I'm in touch with my feelings, I guess.

Not a movie but the end of the second episode of "From the Earth to the Moon" where the dead astronauts wifes givees Deke the wings they guys where gonna give him. Gets me every freaking time.

When Ensign Pulver reads the letter informing him that Mr. Roberts has been killed.

Singing the French National Anthem in "Casablanca."

Yes! Great scene. Gets me every time, too. Also, the ending of "Last American Virigin" used to hit me hard, when Gary walks in and finds Rick and Karen together.

At the end of "Return of the King," when the hobbits are about to bow at Aragorn's coronation, and he holds up his hand and says "My friends, you bow for no one." And then everyone, including Aragorn, bow to the four hobbits.

They look so frail and hurt, even though they've won the war. Because it took so much pain and sacrifice.

Amazing Grace played on bagpipes still tears me up.

The scene where Meryl Streep must choose in "Sophie's Choice" - I can't even watch it.

and of course- "Beeeeee gooooooood..."

Frodo's goodbye scene at the end of ROTK, especially with Sam. Unbelievably well made scene.

Schindlers List - The whole Nazi pin "I could have got one more, and I didn't" scene until the final fade to black. It gets me every time.

I am Legend - Sam. :(

Old Yeller. :(

LOTR: ROTK - "The last pages are for you, Sam."

LOTR: ROTK - The last charge of the Rohirrim. "Death!"

The end of The Shawshand Redemption When Andy greets Red on The Beach.
The final scene from Stand By Me when the writer the types 'I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?'
The execution of John Coffey in The Green Mile
The end of It's A Wonderful Life when George realises that his life has meant something.

I am Legend - Sam. :(
Yeah. :( I was actually doing the cry like kids do when they cry too hard and they're sobbing. It was pathetic.

And I'm with you too, stoneroses, the end of It's a Wonderful Life still gets me every time and I have seen it more times to even wager a guess.

The kiss at the end of Never Been Kissed. *sigh*

In Across the Universe - Let It Be.

These death scenes make me bawl like a baby:

- Optimus Prime in Transformers: The Movie ("Until that day...till all are one")

- Ash in Pokémon: The First Movie. Just watch Pikachu as he tries to shock Ash back to life, but it won't work, then Pikachu just sits there and starts to cry... :(

- Data in ST:Nemesis. "Goodbye"

The part of that episode that gets me, is when we first cut to Mission Control after the fire is reported. The flight controllers are all just sitting there, absolutely numb, with that sad piano music playing... :(

One scene that never fails to choke me up a bit comes at the end of DS9's "The Visitor." An elderly Jake has dedicated his life to trying to bring his father back from the timeless realm from which he has periodically, and inadvertantly, haunted his son throughout his life. Jake has, in point of fact, ruined his life trying to save his father -- his career as a novelist abandoned, his marriage destroyed, he lives alone, and he has no family or friends anymore.

Sisko is brought back into his son's life one last time. Jake's apparent age is at least his eighties; given how humans age in Trek, he's probably closer to 120 or some such. He is asleep. Sisko is sitting there, looking at him, love in his eye, the way he might have when Jake was a little boy.

But when Jake wakes up, Sisko realizes that Jake has ruined his life for his sake. And then he realizes that Jake intends to kill himself, which will have the effect of flinging Sisko back in time to the instant of the accident -- or so Jake hopes. Sisko is crying, trying to get his son to stop it. "I would never have asked you..."

It's such a heart wrenching moment -- especially for a character, Jake, that DS9 often underserved. It's beautiful and painful, especially for those of us in the audience who recognize how complicated and painful relationships with one's parents can be.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - Whatever my problems with the rest of the movie, the scene where Harry returns to Hogwarts with Cedric's body never fails to get to me.

The end of 'Field of Dreams' when Kevin Costner's character, Ray, asks the ghost of his Dad if he wants to play some baseball.

Gets me every time.

Forgot one, as patehtic as it may be I cry sometimes at the end of Deep Impact, when the blinded astronaut is saying a final goodbye to his wife and newly born son (who he's never seen) over the vid moninter, before he's heroically blown to smithereens.
"Be good Oren, be good"
