scary tmp kirk doll on drex!

Courtesy of Probert during tng yr 1 apparently, according to the text.

I never noticed this guy in SFS either. It's funny, the Kirk/Morrow scene has got the remains of the epsilon 9 station on one wall and this little space guy on another.

Is it even supposed to be Kirk?

Looks nothing like him.

What are you talking about, it is probably the best likeness of Shat from that era I've ever seen. It has the weird deadness in the features ("shark's eyes, like a doll's eyes, all lifeless") I associate with TMP/Kirk.

:guffaw: Are you SURE that's supposed to be KIRK? and if it is maybe since the audience woulde'nt REALLY be able to see that clearly in the helmet thay figured..AH WHAT THE HELL, GIVE SHAT A BEARD!:guffaw:

If you read down a bit on that link, you'd see the beard was added about 8 years later.

Old Starlogs have pics of this being built and a pretty nice Nimoy head, but I'd never seen anything like this before. They could have shot closeups of it.

... the bags under the eyes, the beard, the moustache, the different cheeks, the different hair.

Wasn't it just used as the little prop guy who floats away from Epsilon 9 during its digitisation?

Again, Andy Probert painted the beard and 'stache on in 1987. Even if you don't take them away in your mind, it still looks like a very good likeness of Shatner.

He was used there, in the earlier ep 9 shots, in the drydock stuff, and as Spock and Kirk in the vger scene.

Yeah, these were more made for the aborted 'spacewalk through the V'Ger Museum', I think.

Apparently, exposure to the Memory Wall makes dudes look like GEICO cavemen.

After 8 years sat in that position, I think I'd grow a deranged axeman beard too.

It's the stuff of nightmares.
