Fantasy writer Sara Douglass has passed away due to ovarian cancer. While I hadn't read her books, she made a big impression in writing and fantasy circles. She sold one million books in Australia, a population of 30 million.

Only 54. Damn shame.

I've never read any of her books but her name is very familiar to me from browsing the fantasy section at the book store. 54 is way too young to die.

When I saw this thread title I thought it was about Sarah Douglas from Superman II.

Then I had to ask myself why and how I even knew the name of the actress offhand...
