San Diego Chargers

Yes..I am a CHARGER FAN. I go back to just before the DAN FOUTS era. Charger fans have suffered through some pretty bad seasons...oye.many of them. Our 'window of opportunity' for this team is starting to close, but I think this season we will make a run (Norv Turner not with standing)...

Rivers..Tomlinson..Sproles...Gates...Chambers...Merriman...Phillips..English...
Cromartie...and others. I CANT WAIT for the new season!!!

I just like 'em when they break out those bitchin' powder blue throwbacks.

They should win the AFC West this year. It's not a strong division.

agreed...but I think in two or three years the AFC WEST will be some what tougher than it is now. So the chargers have to get it done in these next two years or so...

Can they progress in the play off against the Patriots--Colts--Steelers type teams will be the test. The Chargers have the talent, I think. But they've had the talent for the past four or five years. They just have to put it together...

A friend of mine is a huge charger fan. So huge that he absolutely despises Ed Hoculi for what he did last year. Now that's passion. Also through him I've learned quite a bit about the Chargers too. Can't believe they were going to almost throw LT out at one point earlier in the year. Good thing that didn't happen, even though Sproals looks like he could be a starting RB.

I'll be interesting to see what LT brings this year. The last couple years its looked like those miles have caught up with him. He's still good, just hasn't been as kickass as he was a couple years back.

Agreed..hopefully, like Peyton, he will have that LAST good year, and when the superbowl. I believe, if he did that this year, he would retire.

I like the Chargers a lot. :techman:

I met Dan Fouts a number of times (his daughter went to the same ballet school as my sister), Stan Humphries once and Junior Seau a couple times. I'm not sure I'd qualify as a fan as I've never seen a Charger game in person. But I'm quite a Padre fan (my Dad had season tickets while I was growing up).

A Padre fan? I feel your pain! I am also a LONG suffering Padre fan. Someday, not soon perhaps, we will have a good team....someday.

I have met Dan Fouts a couple times too. A nice guy, and my favorite football player of all time. Never got to thes superbowl, because his era of Charger teams had terrible defences, but still a great player.

My favorite quote for the AFC West this year was during the draft when a poster declared after the Broncos, I believe picked:

"Does anyone want to win this division?"
