Russia announces plans for Venus return..

Despite being a hell-planet where there is almost certainly no possibility for life and probably no way for a human being to set foot there for at least 500-1000 years (if EVER), Venus has always had an odd appeal for me. Perhaps because there is a dynamic aspect to the planet, with the dense atmosphere and corrosive environment. I dunno. I can't really account for it.

At any rate, I look forward to seeing new explorations of Venus. And, yes, the Russuans are quite generous in their willingness to share.

Well, it was a malfunctioning Venus probe carrying a mysterious high-level radiation that set off the plague of the Living Dead in 1968.

Maybe we SHOULD rethink all this . . .
