Russel Watson Needs Surgery

Russel "Faith Of The Heart" Watson has been taken to the hospital to undergo brain surgery.

Statement from his official site:

It is with much sadness that we have to confirm that the press reports are correct and that Russell is at this moment being operated on to remove a major brain tumour and he is in a critical condition.

All our hopes, prayers and wishes are with him and we hope to bring more uplifting news later on today after he is out of the operating theatre.

It's a terrible shame. I always liked his S1-2 ballad version of "Faith of the Heart." (Jazzing it up for season 3 made absolutely no sense at all to me, tho' I don't blame him for that!).
