Rude colleagues

So something happened today at work.

About 2-3 months ago i was transferred to a new department since a guy there got fired and they needed someone with a full contract instead of people who work less hours.

The department consists of a guy (he's ok though at times can be lazy.. good humor though somethimes crossing the line with his jokes) and 3 women.. two of them a close team.

Now the work is ok.. no problems there but the bitchiness of the women (especially 2) really starts to fray my nerves. One is in a constant feud with our resident asshole (nobody likes him in our entire warehouse and he really IS an asshole) and when they had a fight (or not) she's bitching about him all the time.

The other one just had me "explode" in her face today.. she's been in the company for 17 years and granted.. she knows her stuff but she still makes mistakes as everybody else. However she has one really bad way of talking to us... kind of like a boss tone aka "Why hasn't this been done???" or "Guys.. what did you do this time???".. expressions i usually only get when my boss points out a mistake and rips me (or us) a new one.
However she is on one level with us and the last drop was today when she found a mail in our general mail folder about an order from last night that wasn't moved to our archive folder (short explanation.. usually orders coming in at night get processed by the night shift and have to since some of them are time sensitive so chances are very high that it was processed).

So she gets her trademark phrase of "Why hasn't this xxxx been done??" in a high pitched, annoyed voice and i finally lost it and told her off.. if she saw a mail not properly archived and moved that do so herself... no need to make a fuss of it and if she's not sure she can ask around normally if someone knows if it has been processed and then archive it.

It was just her annoying, rude and condescending tone which i have been putting up with since i was in the department (they also like to point out how long they've been with the company) and i finally had enough.
After that she said how i was so sensitive to such questions and now she knows i'm so sensitive she'll better take care but also in a tone of voice that clearly says that this was nothing and i shouldn't make a fuss about it. For the next half hour or so she continued with small barbs against me until she quieted down.

What also annoys me is the comment by the other guy how he's 2 years in the department and has gotten used to it and doesn't notice it anymore.. as if that makes her attitude any better.

I'm beginning to seriously consider asking for a new department if the atmosphere doesn't improve there.. it is bad (for many reasons) and informally i have been told there's plans to make me teamleader of this group as they need one but there's so much backstabbing, behind the back talking and sometimes outright infighting there (there's many old "wounds" there that never have properly been talked about much less resolved).
Yesterday i was told informally that my boss may want to talk with me about some stuff in the department and i may lay it all out.

So.. if you were in a similar situation how did you handle it? I know there's been talking behind my back and am probably known as the "thin skin" or now the "sensitive one" but as usual the fault is only on my side.
