Moving slightly forward in time, what's your favorite episode set in the 21st century after the present day? We've had only three of these-- and two of them are set in 2012! (Another obvious one.)

"Dalek" by a mile. "The Waters of Mars" is fairly good but only the last 20 minutes is actually interesting. The less said about "Fear Her" the better, but it's not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be.

Dalek beats the rest, but does have that huge plot hole about everyone not knowing what a Dalek is two years from now despite the invasions.

True, but that's more the fault of the following episodes than "Dalek" itself.

If nothing else, wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey. ;)

Or, if you really want to justify it, the Doctor just got the year wrong and they landed some time prior to "The Stolen Earth." He's done it before.

I voted for "Dalek".

"Waters of Mars" was okay, the pace was maybe a bit too slow, but it was fun to watch. "Dalek" however was a great episode with a great conflict.

While I don't have such a problem with "Fear Her" than most other viewers, it is still the weakest episodes of the three named above.

In this often ludicrous and hyper-active series, being dull is the worst sin an episode can commit. Dalek is the only episode in this poll that doesn't commit that sin.

Waters of Mars left me cold because it spends so much effort building to a predictable conclusion. Did anyone honestly think the Doctor wasn't going to interfere in the end? Honestly?

Fear Her had some nice moments, but it's the most boring episode of the new series.

I voted for "Dalek", though "Waters of Mars" comes pretty close. I really love the 'Timelord Victorious' stuff. But "Dalek" just blew me away when I first saw it.

Waters of Mars.

I haven't seen Dalek yet, and Fear Her was the worst episode of Series 2; just absolutely horrible.
