Roswell aliens on Trek

The other thread posted about what if the Aliens were on Star Trek made me actually think the poster was talking about the Roswell aliens but because it wasn't I'll raise the question here. What do you think would have happened if any of our heroes came across the very Aliens that might have visited our skies and most of our homes and were even "discovered" by Area 51 (not Quark, Rom and Nog) and were the reason behind most abductions during the decades of the 50's to the 80's?

I ask becuase I watched a 1st season episode of Babylon 5 the other day and it had quite a comical scene at the beginning where we had a trial going on where a Human was charging a Roswell Alien for actions he or his race committed against his great, great, (great?) grandfather back on Earth during those times. Never actually got to see the conclusion of the trial as it was interupted but it'd be intersting to see if those same Aliens might exist the Trek universe and would have to answer for they done back in 50's and beyond?

Any thoughts?

More than one of the TNG books mentions "Grey"-like aliens. One is describing a Borg that looks like one, the other is describing a "slave" worker building a Dominion super weapon during a novel series who's name I can't recall off-hand. One of these instances even mentioned that they looked like the aliens that supposedly visited Earth in times past, but it was alluded that these instances had never been proved and that it was mostly myth. Don't remember which instance.

I think it was suggested in the TNG episode of "Schisms" that those aliens might be responsible for similar abductions throughout human history. Actually, the aliens in that episode, while they don't look like Grays, actually look very similar to the "dwarf" aliens some abductees claim to have seen. Short, hooded, beady eyes, scaly or thick-looking skin.

Barash's species from TNG 'Future Imperfect' looked like the Grey aliens.

I remember that one. They actually elaborated on it in another episode, "All Alone In The Night", when Sheridan and a Narn called Ta'Lon were abducted by a race of beings that Delenn later reveals are called the Streibs. They are known for abducting people from all different races and performing experiments on them and they look just like greys.

I remember a TOS comic book a few years ago which had Kirk, Spock, etc. meeting up with these aliens. They were a dying race and needed help. Specific references were made to these aliens having visited earth during the 20th and 21st centuries. It was a good story.

Yup, the Striebe were named after Whitley Strieber, the fellow who wrote the Communion books about visitors.

I've actually been thinking the same thing myself lately. TBH it kinda suprises me that we haven't seem this adressed in some form of on screen Trek. Although, we never did see the aliens who kidnapped the 47s so perhpas that was them, and the 47s weren't the only people they abducted.
