Ross Kemp: Return to Afghanistan (excellent war documentary)

Ross Kemp went back to Afghanistan to film a follow up to the incredible docu Ross Kemp in Afghanistan from last year.

The first ep went out on sky (uk satellite channel) at the start of the month. Not sure of its availability beyond the UK though.

Up very very close and personal with the troops during the fighting in Helmand province. He actually had to do a bit of military training and learn to fire assault rifles proficiently before he was allowed to embed.

No political BS thrown in either to sour the whole thing. Just down and dirty combat reporting, guy-with-camera-with-ground-pounders.

Episodes 1 and 2 are available on the youtube account RossKempVideos, each split into five parts due to youtube's video length restrictions.

Yeah, i'm a big fan of Kempy and his documentaries, but i do think Return To Afghanistan is much, much better than his gang one's. I think people really appreciate the massive risks he puts himself into in order to show us civilians just how much work our soldiers are doing to try and help stabalize the country and fight the war on terror. I also enjoy hearing the Afghan guard praising our troops, and thanking them for everything they are doing to try and push the Taliban out of the country, it just shows they ARE wanted there.
