Ronon's twin brother?

So I was watching The Lost City once more and I noticed something interesting. When the Stargate program is shut down, Teal'c and Master Bra'tac head for a Jaffa stronghold to enlist help for earth (which is under threat of invasion by the scary hooded guy, Anubis).

A Jaffa signs on who's the pilot of a ship. His name? Ronon.

Didn't know the name Ronon would be so popular in not just one but two galaxies.

^It's probably doesn't have a definitive spelling in English anyway, just a phonetic approximation with a few different spellings. Like "Mohammed" & "Muhummad."

Two people in two Galaxies have the same-ounding name? Sacrilege! Next, you'll say that Lt. Chu'lak from DS9 picked his name from watching his DVDs of some 20th century TV show!

Someone on the writing staff probably just liked the name and reused it. I don't remember the first character, but it's fitting for SG:A Ronan. 'Ronin' is the Japanese word for masterless samurai, one whose lost his position/house and wanders as a renegade. (It translates to English as 'man on the wave.')
