The veteran actor, known for his role in the 1970's sitcom The Likely Lads and who portrayed Stein in the Peter Davison story Resurrection Of The Daleks, passed only a few days before his 80th birthday.

Been a bugger of a week as Keith Barron, best known for the sitcom Duty Free and as captain Striker in Enlightenment, died as well.

As a sidenote, in the original sketch that became The Likely Lads Bob was planned by Lis Sladen's husband Brian Miller.
