Roddenberry Vault Deleted Scenes

Methuselah Flint

Fleet Captain

I know that there is potential for a second deleted scenes book, but regarding actual film...have we got all that exists in the archives, on the Roddenberry Vault blu ray? (I'm obviously excluding any potential private collections).

Any word on deleted scenes from TMP? It was so rushed and some partially filmed scenes were abandoned. I would love to see some fresh rough outtakes in the DE UHD.

I don't think Roddenberry had access to the film clips to TMP the way he did on TOS.
Yes I suspect that is probably the case and you would think that it actual additional footage from the movies was to hand, it would have been released by now. Even so, we know it was filmed and I have never seen anything to suggest it was destroyed. One can hope that it is out there in a shed with all the missing Dr Who episodes.

It's funny- I grew up watching TOS in syndication, where they hacked several minutes out of each episode to make room for more commercials. I watched them so many times when I was a kid (and had many of them recorded off TV on VHS)...that when I first got the DVD versions with the complete episodes, it was like finding "special editions with additional footage" already. I still notice the original footage that was hacked out for so long even to this day.

I do own the Roddenberry Vault disk. I found it pretty underwhelming, unfortunately.

I found BTS and deleted scene film clips from the dailies of ST:TMP in the Lincoln Enterprises packets starting in the early 80’s. In fact, a friend who visited Lincoln, also in the 80’s, was shown some rolls of film from the memory wall sequence.

I wonder if they were different to ones in the dvd extras?
