'Rocketeer' Dave Stevens - RIP

This might be appropriate in GTVM, but since this is an art forum, and many of us are familiar with The Rocketeer, it's with great sadness that I report that its creator, Dave Stevens, passed away Mar. 10, 2008 after a long battle with leukemia.

Sorry to see you go, Dave - at least you knew how much you had influenced a generation of artists and fans. And thanks for bringing back Bettie Page, and for helping her out when she needed it.

That's sad. The Rocketeer tickled my retro bone in a big way, and I always hoped there'd be more featuring him.. at least Dave is now flying free.
