Didn't see one of these threads so I decided to start one. If someone wants to start a better one, be my guest.
Just got back from seeing Robin Hood and I have to say I really enjoyed it. I liked it a hell of a lot more than Iron Man. Ridley Scott has always been one of the best visual directors alive and proves it again here. Everything looks real. I'm sure there was some FX somewhere but you can hardly tell and as a result, it's easily more effective than your big special effect films.
The cast was excellent, the story was engaging, and it even had some humor. A standout was Oscar Issac as Prince John. Also nice to see Kevin "Martin Keamy" Durand as Little John and Scott Grimes as Will Scarlett. Definitely a good prequel to the legend of Robin Hood.
Only downside...there's a ton of mumbling among the actors, making it difficult to hear what is being said. Russell Crowe is clearly the star, his screen time in the first half makes him feel like more of a supporting star.
