This takes place on Sunday, August 10 at the Palace Station in Las Vegas. My wife found out about it from an ad in a Trek magazine, and I found a link on Robert Picardo's website. We bought our tickets yesterday. It seems like it might be a pretty cool time, even if you don't bid on anything.

1…There will be items from “Star Trek” and “Stargate” and Mr. Picardo will also be auctioning some of his private collection also
2..That is a hard question to answer, Last year we had as small as $10 and as high as $700 so it will depend on the item
3..Nope… no dress code ..I found most came business casual to casual…summer attire is fine also.. and no reserved seating, you can sit where ever you want
4..The $35 does include dinner which will be catered by Palace station, it will include 2 main entries, 3 sides, with salad and also a cash bar for mixed drinks
We also will have a MC and some of the entertainment will be right from Las Vegas possible Elvis Presley impersonator –a comedian—and a ventriloquist..and Hoping to get Mr. Picardo to get up and belt out a few songs for us also..
You can purchase the tickets at the door if you want…any other questions look for me at the convention at the tables of “USS Las Vegas Star trek Club” OR “Ellen Muth” in the autograph room or you will definitely find me at the heels of Mr. Picardo throughout the time he is there…

I saw an advertisement in Star Trek Magazine regarding the charity auction. My husband and I will be in Las Vegas for the Star Trek Convention that weekend. We are interested in attending the charity auction, but we have a few questions, and I hope you can answer them.
1) What kind of items are up for auction (Star Trek collectibles, Robert Picardo memorabilia, general sci-fi items, etc.)?
2) Are the items up for auction very expensive pieces? We are just two middle-class people, and we want to have an idea of what we may be able to afford.
3) Is there a dress code for those attending, or is casual summer attire in Las Vegas appropriate?
4) The advertisement states that the ticket price of $35.00 includes dinner. Can you give me a little more detail about that (sit-down dinner, buffet, etc.)?
I apologize for all the questions, but we've never attended a charity auction. I appreciate any information you can provide.
