Rise like lions ideas on the Mirror universe?

If memory serves me correctly, David Mack did plant a subtle yet crucial Easter Egg suggesting this very idea towards the end of Silent Weapons. I had to re-read it once or twice to get what I was reading, but when the lightbulb went off, it was like, "That was genius!!!"
Thank you, thank you. I'll be here all week. Remember to tip the veal and try your waitress.

I would as well, I just doubt it would have a wide appeal.

Maybe not as a series of its own, but it could be tied into the ongoing Typhon Pact storyline. After all, there are loads of potential allies for everyone over there.

You'e going to have to be less subtle for me. :wtf:

Spell it out, and no big words please...

What he was hinting at was…
In Cold Equations, Book II: Silent Weapons, the crashed ship that the Breen are concocting such an elaborate plot to exhume from Federation territory and take home for analysis is a Commonwealth wormhole "jaunt ship" from the Mirror Universe. With perfected wormhole-drive technology, the Breen believe they could easily dominate the galaxy and beyond, so they were willing to sacrifice other, more developed programs in order to acquire it.

^ And there you have it. Definitely a nice jumping point for future Mirror Universe stories and if this spoiler is an indicator of things to come, it makes future Typhon Pact novels more interesting because now there's a true game changer potentially in play that would tip power clearly in favour of the aggressive members of the Pact...but this, of course is my own opinion.

As for tipping the veal...meh, service was okay. But the waitress? Now THAT was something!!!

Oy. That's quite a spoiler. Was it successful?

Nope. Just as the Breen were tractoring the vessel up from the surface of the planet where it had crashed, the Enterprise came by, the crew having figured out what was going on, and destroyed it. Subsequently the Breen government adopted a new Thot after the old one lost a vote of confidence.

And about that...

So it looks like they were having...

(puts on sunglasses)

...second Thots.

YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!
