RIP Tom Smothers

One of early TV's greatest rebels, and never short of hilariousness. He had a bit of a puma obsession, but why quibble?

Long before I was aware of his '60s show, I and my family enjoyed him in a classic AESOP'S FABLES record album. He had much range and could entertain on multiple levels.

When Dick Smothers was remarried, his first wife coincidentally died the same weekend, but Tom kept the secret from him until the honeymoon had completed.

All in all, a very worthy chickenplucker.:techman:

I still remember when Spike TV was formerly known as TNN back in the early 1980s. thats when the Smothers Brothers were still funny back then.

89 years old Tom Smothers was? Damn. i thought both brothers were dead a long time ago during the 1990s

I miss actual TNN. Thats when Entertainment Tonight first started on TNN along with Hee Haw and whatever else during the 1980s and 1990s. But then during all of 1990s, i stopped wathing TNN and was more into TNT and Fox and WGN and TBS. WOR pretty muh died off

Nope. They were both alive and kicking.
