Theodore Bikel, who played Worf's father, has passed away.

Theodore Bikel, a prolific performer and political activist who created the role of Captain Georg Von Trapp in the original Broadway production of The Sound of Music and defined the role of Tevye the Milkman during more than 2,200 performances of Fiddler on the Roof, has died. He was 91.

Everyone, join me in honoring this amazing talent.

And he was the smarmy Hungarian dialect coach in MY FAIR LADY.

"That hairy hound from Budapest.. .."

Don't forget his roles in The Twilight Zone (Oliver Crangle in 'Three O'Clock') and his role as the rabbi who has to give Susan Ivanova bad news about her dad on the 'TKO' episode of Babylon 5.

Rest in peace, Theo/Sergei/Rabbi Koslov. I'm sure that Worf's giving a Klingon yell someplace in your memory, and Susan's sitting Shiva for you.

One of my favorites. I was always disappointed that he didn't play Captain von Trapp in the movie version of The Sound of Music.
