Another well-known celebrity passes away and he is the famous old man on the Pawn Stars. I was really shocked upon seeing the news all over my social media newsfeed. I have watched this show with my grandfather while growing up.

I only saw a little bit of the show because I didn't care enough to watch more, but one scene has stuck with me since:

The numbnuts who put the expensive toilet on the back of the truck, drove away and the toilet fell out and broke into pieces. The old man said something like, "You fucking idiot."

I used to watch Pawn Stars regularly when I had History Channel, and though it was clearly obvious that the show was scripted, there was still an honest gruffness to The Old Man that I enjoyed.

Damn it, no. I loved the Old Man. I never really gave much of a damn for reality shows or History channel, but one day I randomly caught an episode of Pawn Stars, and his grumpy one-liners were really damn funny. I quickly became a regular viewer. I know Chumlee is the one who most of the fans gravitated to, but as far as I'm concerned, the Old Man made the show. Indeed, I've more or less lost interest in recent years that he's no longer been there.

Actually, to be honest, are any of them really "there" anymore? Corey and Chumlee have other careers they're trying to develop now, and I really don't get the impression Rick's heart is in it these days.
