RIP Nilz Baris may the Tribbles Trouble you no more

Sadly veteran character actor and well known Star Trek gues star William Shallert has passed away at the age of 93. He is best known for playing Station Administrator Nilz Baris in the Trouble with Tribbles. He also appeared in DS9 both as Nils and as other characters.

In it, Darvin actually succeeds in poisoning the grain and it lays waste to Sherman's Planet. Baris assumes leadership of what remains of the colony and eventually works his way up to President of the Federation. And yes, he's good at it.
