RIP Matthew Yuricich, Matte Painter on TMP and Blade Runner

Matthew Yuricich, the extraordinary matte artist whose sci-fi work ranged from Forbidden Planet to Planet of the Apes series, through Logan's Run, ST:TMP, Blade Runner and Ghostbusters passed away on May 28th, 2012.

This makes me very sad. I never knew of the man until now, but I certainly knew his work. Special Effects were definitely more "special" back then...
