I feel like it was a particularly wonderful thing that we saw him as Spock in two more movies even though I probably moaned it was unnecessary in STID. NOW I'm happy, wow two more movies with Nimoy's Spock! It's like a final present.

The New York Times is reporting that Leonard Nimoy has died.
Its been a month and I am still pretty sad about this. I watched a few TOS eps and knowing Nimoy is gone made watching them a bit strange. Going to watch a few more eps this week though. The show is still comforting when things get tough in life.
I admit that while I am having difficulty getting into TOS, it is the character of Spock that is making me continue. I wish I had started watching when I finished Voyager last year, when he was still alive. Over the past few weeks I have watched many interviews and tidbits of him. What a lovely, intelligent, kind man. He could have rejected Spock but instead chose to embrace him up until the very end. LLAP!
