Women's basketball is not exactly my favorite sport to watch, but there's no denying it is played with the same, if not greater, passion than its male counterparts. Ms. Yow was a heckuva coach, who may have earned more fame from the way she refused to lay down in the face of cancer.

When I go out, I hope I have at least half as much dignity and fight in me as she did.

What an inspiring woman. She kicked some ass against her cancer for a very long time.

She will definitely be missed.
