RIP John Wetton of Asia

John Wetton, singer and bass player for the great King Crimson, Uriah Heep, and Asia has passed away at 67.
Rest in Peace, sir. Thank you for all that you have given us.

As always, fuck you cancer.

John was also in the band UK. His Uriah Heep days are usually overlooked, he only made two albums with them.

I just saw this and I'm completely stunned... Keith Emerson, Chris Squire, Greg Lake.. Now John... All of my Prog heroes are leaving this life for the next.. I am at a loss... RIP...

I've been looking through iTunes and found some live albums that he did with the Les Paul Trio of cover tunes. Really good stuff, more jazzy than anything, but he has a very versatile voice.
I bought New York Minute which has:
Do It Again (Steely Dan), What's Going On? (not sure), God Only Knows (Beach Boys), Can't Find My Way Home (Traffic or Blind Faith - some sort of Steve Winwood project), All Along the Watchtower (Dylan), New York Minute (Don Henley), Lady Madonna (Beatles), Heat of the Moment (Asia), and Battle Lines.
