RIP Jeff Mackay

I didn't see a notice of this anywhere else, and I don't know if anyone here but me finds this so sad...but character actor Jeff Mackay passed away Friday at age 59, due to liver complications. He was best known as "Mac" on Magnum, PI. It was the ghost of his character that uttered the famous line, "Time has little to do with infinity and jelly donuts." He also played drunken pilot "Corky" on Tales of the Gold Monkey, and had recurring roles in shows like BaaBaa Black Sheep, The Kroft SuperShow and JAG.

:(:(:(

There's a tribute site HERE.

:( RIP Jeff Mckay!

I've enjoyed his acting in most of the shows he's been in. I've been watching Baa Baa Black Sheep lately too. :(

Not Mac! I really liked him. Rest in peace Jeff.

No way! Sad to hear. To the best of my knowledge, that's the first of the Magnum PI cast to pass on, at least it's the first I've heard of.

Actually, he's not. Gillian Dobb, who played Agatha, and Elisha Cook Jr., who played Icepick, have both passed away: Gillian in 2001 and Elisha back in 1995.
