Came here to confirm the news, don't see anything about it. https://newdeaths.com/2021/08/20/eddie-paskey-death-obituary-eddie-paskey-has-passed-away/
its his birthday. happy birthday Eddie! (Edit: Sorry it was on TM.com sm posts it was his bday yesterday with no mention of his passing)
He will be missed. Not only that, but astronomer Carolyn Shoemaker of Comet SL-9 has also passed. May they both rest in power
I met him at Trekonderoga may 3 or 4 years ago. A really sweet guy. As I remember, his story was that he only had maybe on acting gig after Star Trek and then decided that it just wasn't for him, and happily spent years working on cars. RIP
If you are going to be a regular stand-in/extra on just one show in your career TOS is pretty darn cool! R.I.P.
Just to make sure this information doesn't wind up lost... Eddie's website had lots of photos and information about his time on TOS, which are archived on the Wayback Machine. For example: https://web.archive.org/web/20191227133335/http://www.eddiepaskey.com/Star Trek Cast.htm The 1st photo (entire bridge crew) is from the end of "Arena". From left to right: McCoy, Spock, DePaul (Sean Kenney, who also played the disabled Capt. Pike in "The Menagerie"), Uhura, Kirk, Sulu, Scotty, Leslie. The 4th photo (Lt. Leslie in the command chair) is from "The Squire of Gothos". At the bottom of that page, there are links to additional pages. A complete list of archived files is here: https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.eddiepaskey.com/*
