RIP Dan Peek

One of the co-founders of the band 'America', one of my favorite groups when I was growing up, and I still love to play their songs when I'm in youtube jukebox mode.

RIP Dan. :(

La laa laa lala la laa...

Oh, that's terrible. America is one of my favorite bands, too. "Sister Golden Hair," "Tin Man," "Lonely People." I can't even describe the exquisite poignancy I feel when "Daisy Jane" plays.

RIP, Dan, and thanks for everything. :(

Rest in peace, Dan. Your words were a formative part of my childhood and you will be missed. :(

Very sad. I really like some of their songs...and like others have commented, they were on the radio a lot when I was young. And he was only 60 too. WAY too young.

I love America (the band). Have their greatest hits CD.

Peek hasn't been with the group since 1977 though, the other two continued as a duo.

Peek certainly had a hand in writing a few of the big hits and his vocals added a lot to the harmonies that group was known for.

RIP.

A Horse With No Name is a song I frequently play on the guitar and everybody always sings along. He'll be missed.
