Billy Drago, a character actor whose best-known roles were as Hollywood villains, has died. He passed on Monday, June 24 in Los Angeles, according to his publicity firm. No cause of death was given.

Born William Eugene Burrows Jr., Drago appeared in more than 100 film and television roles. His most well-known roles were as hitman Frank Nitti in Brian De Palma’s 1987 film The Untouchables and as the Demon of Fear Barbas in TV’s Charmed.

His bad guys were always creepy and scary. RIP

How sad. His characters were indeed memorable. I think the ones that stick out the most in my mind are his appearances in "Supernatural," Mysterious Skin, and "The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr." He was great at playing the villain or being just plain creepy.

I remember him being a great villiain in almost everything he was a part of. He always played the bad guy but he did it well.

Ditto. The first characters I thought of when I read the subject line were Frank Nitti and this recurring nightmare demon on Charmed. He kicked ass as a bad guy.

RIP, Bad Man...

Aww, I loved this guy. Among his roles he had a neat turn in the Takashi Miike's haunting and disturbing Masters of Horror episode Imprint. Hell, I thought even his name "Billy Drago" was cool. I don't think he ever arose from being a B-actor but I've always loved B-movies, especially growing up, so that doesn't diminish him in my book.
