Richard Dawson has died at 79

[Flying Spaghetti Monster]

Dawson was the host of Family Feud, (no one has been able to suitably replace him there, and I won't go into all the reasons hate the bigot Steve Harvey) and then later parodied that role in the actioner The Running Man.

Despite how perfect his performance in that film, his best moment (of his entire career) is below.

Just heard about it via facebook. It seemed like he had lived almost in secret ever since his hosting role on Family Feud (especially since the second go round didn't go very well) but he was probably the best host (Even though I like all the hosts except for Louie Andersom). He was also a prominent figure on Match Game and now he can join Brett Somers, Gene Rayburn, and Charles Nelson Riley making everyone laugh upstairs.

When I first saw this thread title, I thought it said Dawkins, not Dawson. Anyway, 79 seems like a good innings and it looks like he had a long and full filling life.

Well, if there's an afterlife you know he's working his way through stealing a kiss from all the women through eternity. Dawson on Family Feud and Match Game was a big part of my formative years, RIP.

Another loss to cancer, I'm getting tired of this damn disease.
I loved him in Hogan's Heroes and watched a lot of Family Feud and Match Game as a kid. He was a very funny guy.
