Richard Bull, 1924-2014

I just read that Richard Bull died back on Feb. 3. He is best known for playing Nels Oleson, the good-natured, long-suffering husband of Harriet and father of Nellie on Little House on the Prairie. He was a reliable TV character actor for many years, including a recurring part as the ship's "Doc" on Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. I also remember him for playing Frank Furillo's dad on a couple episodes of Hill Street Blues. I always enjoyed seeing him wherever he popped up on TV. RIP.

I always liked his prior work too as the doctor on the Seaview on Irwin Allen's Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea '60s television series.
