In reading Resistance, which I just finished, every time I read the name Lio Battaglia, I couldn't help but think of the late pop-psych guru, Leo Buscaglia. Anybody out there know if J.M. Dillard meant the character's name as an homage to the late professor?

Oh, I dunno. Having the professor of hugs as your security chief has a certain delicious irony to it. And Leo Buscaglia certainly couldn't have ended up any worse than Lio Battaglia.
