OK you talented lot. When I write my stories, I try to stay as close as possible to canon, if theat's not possible then I'll fall back on lit-canon but this one is bugging me.

I need to include Colonel (Philip) Green in my next epic () and I'm a little concerned about his background.

For once I'm ignoring lit-canon in the shape of "Federation" because it was contradicted by "First Contact" so that removes a huge chunk of any information on the man.

The problem is that he was apparently involved in the Eugenics wars with Khan, then mid-WW III he committed various atrocities before his final genocide after the ceasr fire.

So:

Eugenics Wars - 1990s

WW III starts - 2026

WW III ends - 2053

Atrocities - 2055

Near as I can tell (if we assume he was 18 in the Eugenics Wars) that would make him 78ish yet his screen appearances seem to make him much younger???

I mean he's not an augment so, any help like better background etc please?

His actions are a fairly integral part of the story so if there's no established background I'm quite happy to make it up.

Cheers chaps and chapesses! :techman:

Well I've just looked at the MA page on him and it says nothing about the Eugenics War, only WW3 and his later atrocities. So unless you have a special reason to have him involved in the EW, I suggest you just drop that reference entirely.

I read about something called the Optimum Party somewhere regarding his political base. Might check our resources/reference thread at top of page, there are several databases listed.

The Optimum Party was part of the novel Federation. The only other mention of his involvement in the Eugenics War was in the novel Debtors' Planet apparently. I say ditch the idea of his serving in the Eugenics War and instead make him a student of Khan. He seemed to be pretty obsessed with genetic perfection in his appearance in "Demons".

I agree with AG. From what I know of the man canonically, he wasn't involved with the Eugenics Wars (1990s). Now there is debate about whether DS9 or ENT fuzzied the date, but I would leave it in the 90s and just make Green an admirer of Khan and the augments. I'm sure there had to be some after the wars.

Thanks guys, that was my thinking too. The Eugenics Wars did seem a little bit of a stretch and with that reference dropped I have the perfect way around things.

Keep an eye open for STAR TREK : ANGEL - BOOK 3 "THAT TOMORROW MAY LIVE".

Thanks for all your help! :techman:
