I have a question for Section 31 personnel (if such a section exists): Could casts like those constructed on the Syfy Channel's Face Off series be used to quickly produce disguises for a special ops unit, rather than force each of those personnel to undergo cosmetic surgery for such an assignment?
Replicators could produce lifelike molds, masks, etc., rather than having artists sculpt them individually.
Of course, this alternative would only be useful for large groups who would need to deceive an opponent temporarily, whereas an individual agent--who might be inserted for a long-term assignment--would need the surgery, to avoid detection.
