Replacement battery websites

I think my laptop battery finally gave out after 2 years. It's not registering on my task bar even when it's plugged in.

My laptop is a sony vaio vgn-nr385e

I'm trying to find some trustworthy sites but haven't found much luck

I looked on ebay but most of the sellers in the US had negative feedback for not delivering the item or a faulty item.

On ebay, a lot of those batteries are basically generic versions of the OEM battery.

Not 100% sure if they're any worse than the OEM ones.

Though, I got a couple replacement generic phone batteries. They don't seem to hold a charge quite as long as the original did when it was new.

I just bought a new battery for my laptop from Amazon. An OEM battery was about $160, but I got a 3rd party one for about $25. The first one they sent me worked fine for about 6 weeks then failed suddenly. I contacted the company and they sent me a new one. The new one has been just fine. The battery itself had 4 or 5 stars on Amazon.

^After only 2 years? That's silly. A 2 year old laptop would have come with Windows 7 which is still the current operating system release from MS. Not exactly stone age.

^ The funny thing is, the "OEM" batteries are usually made in China, at the same factories as the cheap ones.

Its my expirence that everything that has failed on computers are the hardest parts to replace and not the cheapest.
