I understand the evolution of the show...but man. Sorta hard to watch.

Heh, that's pretty funny. I always love watching very early Trek episodes to see all the kinks still getting worked out.

Watching it on tivo, and Paris just stood up and said "Its the Voyager!" in a very S1 Data sorta way.

It's to do with the first letter of the ship's name. Some sound ok, some not.

It's like in Blake's 7; the Liberator sounds fine, but the Scorpio sounds a bit off.

You wanna talk about a rough transition, when Spike showed "Endgame" a week or so ago, it was preceded by TNG's "Encounter at Farpoint." From one temporal end of the TNG era to the other with no "evolution" in between!
