"I know engineers, they LOVE to change things."

(One of many great De Kelley McCoy deliveries...be well wherever you may be, great man.)

I'm a huge fan and miss him a lot, but I have had the privilege of introducing several new fans to his performances and it makes me feel better to do this.

A salute.

{One of his great lines} Rest in Peace!!, ~~ DeKelley "We all miss us":(

A true gentleman. Definate CLASS. Other actors have taken the roles as Trek doctors, "But they sure couldn't fill his shoes."

McCoy: In this galaxy, there's a mathematical probability of three million Earth-type planets. And in all of the universe, three million million galaxies like this. And in all of that... and perhaps more, only one of each of us.

This is my first ever post since joining The Trek BBS just minutes ago and I cant think of a better person to remember than the extraordinary Human Soul that played McCoy son of David, our beloved, DEFOREST KELLEY.

You made us laugh, cry & think about the human soul always and you will be missed but NEVER forgotten.

You will never be dead because we will always remember you.

Second star and straight on till the morning DeForest!!!

Ill have a Saurian Brandy or two to remember you

Live Long & Prosper

Had the opportunity to see him live and in person in 1984 or '85. He extended his autograph session time for an extra half hour to ensure that everyone in line would get his signature. I still have my autographed photo. Great actor, even greater man.

My all time favorite trek quote. And NOBODY could have said it like De. Welcome to the boards. We're weird. You'll love it.

^That was your favorite qoute? Really? I thought it was alot of gibberish, espcially the last line "Don't destroy the one named Kirk". THAT made even less sense. It just seeemed to me that he was playing to Kirk's ego.

^^^What can I say? We are each touched by different things. This is not an insult, for I welcome exchanges of differing oppinions, but I'm sure there are some things that touched you in a personal way that I would look upon as meaningless tripe.
That being said, I DO like your avatar.

McCoy to Spock: "I'm gone tell you something I thought I'd never hear myself say. It seems I've missed you...and I don't think I can stand to lose you again." - Star Trek III (Great line-one of my all time favs!)
